Gateway Laptop M Series

The M series of laptops was released by Gateway in July 2007. I know that three years in computer time means a lot and that technology develops very fast these days, but this series of laptops is still pretty good to use, offering good features and performance for an affordable price. This multimedia laptop series is meant to be used for entertainment purposes and to offer incredible pictures and sound quality for those who want to watch movies at home or on the go. Even if the features of the M series laptops from Gateway are no dobut pretty good and offer a high quality experience in entertainment , I must tell you these laptops are not meant for gaming, but for watching movies and listening to music or whatever other activities you might enjoy doing in your free time. Of course they can handle games, but they are not designed with this purpose, so they don’t offer the speed and resolution addicted gamers request.

Gateway laptops M series offer multimedia performance in a sleek, stylish design. They use Intel technology for offering high quality functionality from the processor, graphics card and also wireless LAN. Gateway Laptop Toggle Touchpad

Laptops are designed to be used without computer mice. They have a touchpad instead. But not all the people using laptops like this touchpad or find it useful . Most of them think that it is much easier to attach an external mouse and use it, as it is easier to use and it’s a lot more precise. Not to mention the fact that it is a lot faster, too. So they choose to toggle their Gateway laptop touchpad. Some want to do this because they touch it by mistake when typing something and using the keyboard and this leads to some misleading commands that can be really disturbing when you are in the middle of something important for work for example. Most laptops offer you this possibility, even if they have different producers and models, or even different software, as any hardware device must have a command that turns it on and off.

I am not sure about other operating systems, but if you want to toggle your touchpad on your Gateway laptop and you have Windows XP installed on it, just go to My Computer, Control Panel, Pointing devices and you will find there the settings that you need to turn the touchpad on and off. You can disable it even if you do not have an external mouse attached to your laptop because it bothers you when you are typing for instance. You can turn it on again when you finish your work or you can use the keyboard instead.

Well, believe it or not, some people are just too lazy to do even that and want some keyboard shortcuts or any kind of shortcuts on their desktop to allow them to toggle the touchpad with a single click of the mouse. Problem solved for them, too. There is this website – www.autohotkey.com where you can download a free, open-source utility for Windows that helps you make the best use of your keyboard. You can set it so that you can access a lot of commands by a simple key stroke or a certain combo of key strokes. AutoScriptWriter II comes with it and it helps you record two scrips: one for turning on the Gateway laptop touchpad and one for turning it off.

After the recording just put them on your desktop to be handy when you want to use them. When you double click either of them AutoScript will start running automatically , then will run the script which will do its job according to the one you picked up (turn on or off the touchpad) and then will exit automatically. When you want to toggle, just double click the other script that will cause the reverse: if the touchpad was turned on it will shut it and if it was shut , it will turn it on. It’s as simple as you can ever want.

And if you decide to use an external mouse only, just use the settings to turn the touchpad off and leave them like that until you change your mind or your laptop.

Gateway 7422gx Laptop Used

As you can see from the pictures this is not the latest release from Gateway laptops. It was back in 2004 when this laptop was in its prime time. But if you can find one that is really taken care of and fully functional, you can use it to do all your things that need a laptop. Even older laptops can work properly and perform all the operations that you want toas long as you ask them what is in their power and can do according to their features.

I feel compelled to say this because, even if in reality 5 or 6 years seems like a very short time, in computers years it means a very long time, especially considering the huge development of technology in the last three-four years.

Ok, this Gateway 7422GX laptop is medium sized, with rounded edges, pretty slender and nice, black and easy to use. Thanks to its size and weight &7.5 pounds) it is portable , but you can also use it as a replacement for your desktop computer or even as a second computer at home.

The processor used for this system is a Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3400 running at a speed of 2.2 GHz and it brings the necessary technology for multitasking or for a good speed of the software response. The 64MB (Dedicated) ATI Mobility RADEON 9550 Graphics offers high quality images that you can admire on the 15.4″ Ultrabright Screen. The screen can support a resolution of 1280×800, perfect for watching movies and playing games.

Gateway T2370 laptop is not a Gateway laptop model as you may think at first sight. The T2370 part refers to the processor that is used in the system of a Gateway laptop. Gateway Laptop Set Fan To Constant Speed

Laptops are used by almost all people today and they have become almost like an accessory like the watch or the belt you are wearing both when you go to a=work and also when you stay home watching “Oprah”. If your laptop is still in warranty this will be a bad idea, because if something goes wrong they won’t repair your laptop for free.
